Hi, I'm Onyinye, a Product Marketing Manager

I have over 3 years experience in Product Marketing. I started my career as the first marketing hire in a startup. In this role, I set up the company blog, managed the social accounts, collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise projects and managed strategic accounts. It was while managing these accounts that I fell in love with product marketing. I also launched my first product which wasn't very successful. However, I learnt a valuable marketing lesson: No matter how great a product is, it is not for everyone. Every product is for a specific customer segment. So identify this customer segment, understand what their challenges are, and do a great job showing how your product solves them. I've also led the marketing team in a Fintech. In less than six months, I set up an organic marketing strategy consisting of demand gen, community, webinars and email marketing that increased inbound demo requests by 100%.

Here are some of my wins

Conducted extensive customer research and used the insights to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy with a focus on demand gen that increased awareness in the target market and inbound demo requests by 100%.
Created a marketing strategy that increased brand awareness, generated more organic leads and speaking engagements for executives
Used insights from customer interviews to influence the product roadmap, leading to the development of a key feature that helped the sales team close a major deal
Led a website redesign project that increased website traffic to 28.9%
Worked with an agency to execute a PR campaign that led to the acquisition of a major client in the financial services sector.
